On Tuesday morning, an Irvine resident in the Quail Hill neighborhood saw somebody inside her parked vehicle and called the police.

The responding police officers stopped the suspect’s car, leaving the area, occupied by a man and five juveniles.

The police officers found stolen license plates and stolen property inside the vehicle.

The man was arrested for theft, conspiracy, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The four juveniles were released to their parents.

The Irvine Police Department recommends that you always lock your car and never leave valuables inside. Make it a habit to verify that your license plates are on your vehicle. Immediately report any lost or stolen license plates to the police.
