On Friday, Costa Mesa police officers located and aided in the arrest of a man who stole a $2,000 e-bike at the Orange County Fairgrounds.

As soon as the theft was reported, officers worked with the victim and located the stolen e-bike.

It is quite possible that the victim had installed an Apple AirTag on the e-bike, making it easy for law enforcement to track down the thief.

Orange County Sheriff’s Department, CA took the grand theft arrest since the theft occurred inside the fairgrounds.

Hats off to the victim for reporting this theft quickly and assisting the police with tracking and locating the e-bike and the thief who stole it.
