Anaheim’s Mayor, Harry Sidhu, was forced re resign a few weeks ago, in complete disgrace, after the FBI investigation into Sidhu and the powerful special interests that backed him came to light. Now Anaheim’s politicians are running scared – and even Sidhu’s old pals are disowning him.

One of Sidhu’s old pals, Anaheim Councilman Avelino Valencia, is now saying he is against Sidhu but we looked up Valencia’s campaign finance statement and the record shows that Valencia is getting massive donations from the same special interests that funded Sidhu and his cabal for years!

Who will you vote for in the race for the 68th State Assembly District?

Valencia also works for State Assemblyman Tom Daly, who opted to not run for reelection after the FBI started sniffing around. Daly was also part of the Sidhu cabal so it is no surprise that the special interests are lining up to give checks to Valencia, who is now running for Daly’s 68th Assembly District seat.

Here are just a few of the special interests that are buying Valencia’s vote in advance:

  • FSB Public Affairs (at the heart of the corruption storm in Anaheim. Click here to read more about this). – Donated $5,000 to Valencia’s campaign
  • John Carpino, President of the L.A. Angels (their stadium deal with the City of Anaheim fell apart due to, you guessed it, massive corruption at the City Council) – Donated $1,000 to Valencia’s campaign
  • Uber (they often pay off Democrats like Valencia to try to keep the state from cracking down on them further) – Donated $4,900 to Valencia’s campaign
  • Bharat Patel, Castle Inn & Suites (hotels in Anaheim’s resort district have been paying off Sidhu and his cabal for years…) – Donated $500 to Valencia’s campaign
  • California Real Estate PAC – (is there any industry more crooked than the Real Estate industry???) – Donated a massive $9,700 to Valencia’s campaign
  • California Association of Health Facilities (this industry often pays off Democrats like Valencia to try to head off any more bad bills affecting them, in Sacramento) – Donated 4,900 to Valencia’s campaign
  • California Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons (another pay off to prevent more bad bills in Sacramento) – Donated $3,000 to Valencia’s campaign
  • RMV Community Development (another developer ponying up to Valencia) – Donated $1,000 to Valencia’s campaign
  • O.C. Business Council PAC (more of Sidhu’s old pals) – Donated $2,500 to Valencia’s campaign
  • Charter Public Schools PAC (Surprise! Valencia the Democrat is taking huge money from the charter schools!) – Donated $4,900 to Valencia’s campaign
  • Los Angeles Police Protective League PAC (Valencia is taking money from the L.A. police union? Wow!) – Donated $4,900 to Valencia’s campaign
  • So. Cal Edison (they are still reeling from getting blamed for massive wildfires in CA) – Donated $4,900 to Valencia’s campaign
  • Pacific Gas and Electric (also got blamed for massive wildfires in CA) – Donated $4,900 to Valencia’s campaign
  • Anaheim Police Assn. PAC – (they are hoping that paying off Valencia now will prompt him not to try to defund them later) – Donated $4,900 to Valencia’s campaign
  • Assn. of O.C. Deputy Sheriffs (they are hoping that paying off Valencia now will prompt him not to try to defund them later) – Donated $4,900 to Valencia’s campaign

Valencia is opposed in November by Santa Ana resident Mike Tardif who is NOT taking payoffs from these special interests!
