THIS INDIVIDUAL SHOULD BE CONSIDERED EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND VIOLENT. DO NOT APPROACH. IF YOU SEE HIM, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY.

SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Orange County District Attorney’s Office is warning the public about an extremely dangerous and violent criminal who is once again at large after he walked away from a halfway house in Santa Ana devoted to helping convicted criminals re-enter society shortly after being released from custody.

Ike Souzer, 20, was released from custody on March 20, 2024, after he pleaded guilty to one count of felony vandalism and was sentenced to 90 days in county jail credit time served by Orange County Superior Court Judge Larry Yellin and placed on formal probation for two years.

He then checked into Project Kinship in Santa Ana but left and never returned, failing to tell his probation officer of his whereabouts.

Prosecutors strongly objected to the 90-day sentence, arguing Souzer’s prior criminal history, which included fatally stabbing his mother when he was 13 years old; attacking three correctional officers; and manufacturing and possessing a shank while being housed at the Orange County Jail.

In April 2022, Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer issued a warning to the public about Souzer after he escaped from Project Kinship previously following his release on electronic monitoring from jail.

After a countywide manhunt, the Orange County District Attorney’s AB 109 Task Force tracked Souzer down on Easter at a homeless encampment in Anaheim and arrested him.

Now Souzer is on the lam again.

  1. Some of these judges don’t belong on the bench. To release a criminal with this guys record is completely reckless and totally irresponsible… SMH

  2. It makes one wonder why some innocent inmates in custody for less than 48 hours are dead from the numerous custodial deaths involving OCSD and this guy is free, endangering everyone.
