Irvine – Firefighters responded to the southbound 405 Freeway between Jamboree and Culver early this morning for a traffic collision with fire, according to the OCFA.

Engine and Truck 4 arrived and found a two-vehicle collision with one car on fire. Fortunately, the occupant of the vehicle on fire made it out.

Both drivers were assessed by firefighter paramedics and it was determined only the driver of the vehicle fire had minor injuries. The cause was being investigated by the CHP.

We appreciate everyone’s patience when we’re operating on roadways, sometimes requiring lanes to be shut down for yours and our firefighters’ safety.
