A 56-year-old Long Beach woman, Suzanne Fierro, died after the vehicle she was in was hit by a vehicle driven by a Buena Park woman, in Anaheim, on Sunday night, Feb. 16.

Anaheim police officers repored to the scene of the collision, at S. Magnolia Avenue and W. Broadway, in Anaheim, at about 10 p.m. The officers identified a red SUV and a white sedan with major damage, as the two vehicles involved in the collision.
The victim was driving an SUV that was proceeding southbound on Magnolia when the driver of the sedan, Samantha Farris, 29, of Buena Park, who was in the northbound lanes, made a left turn in front of her, according to the police.
The victim was trapped in her SUV’s driver seat after the collision. Firefighters freed her from the SUV and she was then taken to a local hospital. However, she died about an hour after the crash.

Witnesses told the police officers that Farris, the driver of the sedan, had been drinking alcoholic beverages at a nearby Pizza Hut restaurant before she crashed into the victim’s SUV, according to the police.
The police officers arrested Farris after conducting a DUI investigation.
The Fierro family has started a GoFundMe page to help to pay for her funeral.
