On Monday, September 2, 2024, at 0014 hours, Tustin Police Department dispatch received several calls regarding a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision in front of the Arbor Ranch Apartments, located at 15482 Pasadena Avenue.
There was also additional information coming in that a stabbing may have occurred at the location.
Responding officers arrived and located two victims, one male and one female, outside the location on Nisson Road.
The male was discovered to be the victim of a stabbing, and the female victim had been struck by a car.
Both victims were taken to Orange County Global hospital, where the male later died as a result of the stab wounds.
The female is currently in stable condition and communicating but has significant injuries.
At approximately 02:15 hours, the Anaheim Police Department located the suspect driving in the area of 1265 North Kraemer Boulevard.
The 18-year-old male suspect, identified as Jan Daniel Lopez from Santa Ana, was arrested without incident and transported to the Tustin Police Department, where he is currently being processed.
