On Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at 10:43 PM, Santa Ana Police Communications received a report of a stabbing victim who arrived at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital.

The male victim reported he was stabbed in the area of Euclid Street and McFadden Avenue. Due to significant blood loss, the victim was intubated and transported to a local trauma center. On July 13, 2023, at 1:00 AM, the victim was pronounced deceased.

The circumstances surrounding this homicide are currently being investigated. The Orange County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as Javier Rivera (51) of Cathedral City.

Detectives are attempting to identify and locate any witnesses who can shed light on this incident.
