Last night, the Irvine Police Department received a tip on a case they had publicized on Wednesday. This morning, Irvine police detectives located and identified the suspect. He was taken into custody, and the investigation is ongoing.

On Sunday, May 14, 2023, around 1:50 pm in the Los Olivos Shopping Center, the suspect yelled at a victim about how her vehicle was parked. He then kicked and punched her car, causing an estimated $17,000 in damage. The damage figure is based on a body shop estimate.

The suspect left the area in a blue SUV.

The Irvine Police Department is thankful for their strong partnership with the community and appreciate the valuable information they received.
