Serial catalytic converter thieves arrested after a pursuit by Fountain Valley police and the CHP

Police officers responded to reports of suspicious activity involving a gray BMW SUV near Talbert and Bay, according to the Fountain Valley Police Department.

The vehicle fled when located, leading to a pursuit which CHP took over that ended in Los Angeles County in the city of Gardena.

Three out of four suspects who fled on foot after the vehicle was disabled were captured.

Officers discovered six stolen catalytic converters, burglary tools, and a stolen license plate inside the suspect vehicle. The suspect vehicle was also reported stolen.

Multiple thefts were linked to the suspects, including incidents in Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, and Irvine including an assault against a police officer.

This incident led to multiple felony arrest charges. Thanks to Prop. 36 these suspects can expect lengthy prison sentences!

  1. Let’s hope the staff of our new District Attorney “throws the book” at these scumbags and they spend a long time behind bars. Too bad we don’t have “necktie parties” anymore.
