On Wednesday, the Costa Mesa Police Department got a call reporting an e-bike stolen from someone’s open garage.

The Costa Mesa Community Policing Unit (CPU) and officers were in the area proactively patrolling and located the suspect with the e-bike in the area of Victoria Street and Newport Boulevard.

The suspect, who was wanted on a felony warrant, was apprehended after a short chase and found to be armed with a knife. Other stolen property was also recovered. Great team work by CPU and Patrol!
