Ward 3 Council candidate Alderete releases his campaign issues

Santa Ana Ward 3 candidate Eric Alderete has posted an article on his campaign Facebook page outlining the issues he is running on.  Alderete is the only announced candidate for Ward 3 on the Santa Ana City Council.  The incumbent, Council Member Carlos Bustamante, was arrested on Monday and charged with numerous felony sex crimes and public theft.

Here is Alderete’s article:

The Issues I’m Building My Campaign Around

by Eric M. Alderete

Jobs and Economic Development

I will promote new job creation by advancing policies that support small businesses, attract clean tech industries, and revitalize major commercial corridors that will sustain our existing workforce while expanding the pool of new jobs.

“Far too many of our neighbors, family members, and friends are struggling to find a job or a job that leads to a stable financial future. I have a strong sense of urgency that we must do more.”-Eric M. Alderete, Candidate for Santa Ana City Council

Education

To strengthen communities, build our economy and reduce crime, city government must help organize support for all schools and children to set and reach their goals. That is why I will offer and support policies that promote systemic educational reform by working with non-profits, charter schools, Santa Ana Unified School District, Santa Ana College and City and County agencies. Learn more about how Eric’s own educational opportunities have informed his policy views.

“Education matters to all of us as parents and those who know we all rely on the next generation as the key to our future well-being. As a parent, I want the best not only for my children, but your children as well.”-Eric M. Alderete, Candidate for Santa Ana City Council

Public Safety

To create the basic building blocks for a thriving community, we must provide for public safety in Santa Ana. I will offer and support responsive and responsible public safety services focusing on prevention and intervention.

“We cannot have safe streets and neighborhoods if we are not committed to building strong families and opportunities and options.”-Eric M. Alderete, Candidate for Santa Ana City Council

Open Space

I will offer and support green initiatives that promote the creation of community gardens, pocket parks, and tree plantings throughout the City to reduce pollution and decrease the rate of chronic illness among children and families.

“We cannot promote healthy living or a world class city, if we do not create inviting and sustainable areas to gather, play, and enjoy our beautiful city.”

– Eric M. Alderete, Candidate for the Santa Ana City Council

    "attract clean tech industries"....... Hmmmmmm

Impossible in the Latino section of the Santa Ana 80% feasible in the Oriental section of the city 10%.

#2 Education The entire section is usual Left-Liberal-Socialistic-Talking-Points which we are implementing now!

    #3 Public Safety
I will offer and support responsive and responsible public safety services focusing on prevention and intervention......... Hmmmmmmmm

"prevention and intervention" sounds familiar? Martinez's Gang Prevention and Intervention?

    #4 Open Space
"We cannot promote healthy living or a world class city, if we do not create inviting and sustainable areas to gather, play, and enjoy our beautiful city"..... Hmmmmmmm

Is he promoting deportation of Latinos to a reservation?

IMO, He is another left-liberal-progressive-bolshevik moron mongoloid like Tinajero, Benavides, Sarmiento and Martinez, except for his penis..... should I say balls to be inclusive?

    Good luck Art!
