On Thursday, the Irvine Police Department’s Spectrum Team found a needle in a haystack. A wallet distraction theft happened at Trader Joe’s in Woodbury.
When patrol officers learned the victim’s cards were being used at the Spectrum, the Spectrum Officers sprung into action.
They quickly located two suspects walking away from the mall into the parking lot with their ill-gotten purchases. During the investigation, the victim’s stolen credit cards, wallet, and cell phone wrapped in aluminum foil were found.
Jesus Alberto Ramirez Mendoza, 26, of Granada Hills, and Luz Adriana Gomez Garcia, 32, of Los Angeles, were arrested and booked at Orange County Jail on multiple charges, including burglary.
