Three were injured after a shooting incident at Hot Lounge and Restaurant in Garden Grove

A shooting incident at around 11:36 p.m., at The Hot Lounge & Restaurant, located at 12911 Magnolia Street in Garden Grove, left two adult males wounded while a third victim was also hospitalized with a head injury, according to KTLA.

The responding Garden Grove police officers detained a number of patrons at the restaurant after locating the two victims who had been shot.

The shooting victims were treated by paramedics at the scene then taken to a local trauma center in unknown condition.

The police did not reveal what the motive of the shooting was.

Apparently the officers used physical force against one of the detained patrons who repeatedly asked the officer’s for their names, according to the County News Service.

The suspect was detained by patrons inside the restaurant and was taken into custody after police arrived at the chaotic scene, according to ABC.

Due to the shooting, police had to secure a large area surrounding the restaurant, including southbound lanes of Magnolia Street.

The police officers at the scene told the County News Service that the Garden Grove Police Dept. would not circulate a press release or any information regarding the shooting. The motive for staying silent about the incident is not yet known.
