What ward is this in and what's the update on our city council tackling these issues
Ward 2. This area has had a lot of gang/rival gang activity/shootings recently
What's the city council got to do with this? Those jokers can't even be on the same page to go into a closed session. And besides, it's not the city councils responsibility to fix these problems, it's not solely the chief of police or city managers. It's the parents of these pendejos and the citizen's responsibilities. If they really want to make a change, stop approving the "recreational" use of marijuana. Stop wanting to make Santa Ana a sanctuary city. Stop making it harder for the police to get rid of the trash. I'm tired of people passing the blame on other people. We've all been taught right from wrong, even those with parents in prison know right from wrong. You want to put on your big boy/girl chonies and make these choice, pues orale, time to pay the piper. Our city council is a joke, they ALL have their own agendas. How about we limit our low income housing and get code enforcement out there to check on the over population of homes, or better yet, how about we all follow the law! Maybe, just maybe then crime will go down.
And about the sanctuary city thing, I'm not anti-immigration, my parents both immigrated here from Mexico. If you want to come to this country and work your butt off, raise a family and be a productive member of society, then I feel we, as a country should back you up and help you become legalized. BUT if you come here, and you're not working, you're breaking laws left and right, and you're not a productive member of society, then you can go back to whichever country you came from and do it there.
