Today, May 12, the OC Health Care Agency reported a total of 3,602 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Orange County and 570 cases in Santa Ana. The Santa Ana case numbers don’t include infected inmates in County jails.
One new death was reported today. To date 77 victims have died in Orange County. There were 62 new cases filed today. There are currently 230 victims in local hospitals and 100 of them are in Intensive Care Units.

Health Care Worker Infection Rates
As of May 11th, local health departments have reported 7,274 confirmed positive cases in health care workers and 39 deaths statewide. As data is updated the information is re-evaluated. In this instance, the number was adjusted accordingly and decreased by one.
