The secured O.C. property tax payment deadline is Monday, April 10

SANTA ANA, Calif. – The second installment deadline for timely paid secured fiscal year 2022/23 property taxes is Monday, April 10. The County of Orange offers the option to pay electronically via eCheck as a free and convenient option for taxpayers.

“Pay online by using our secure 24/7 online ‘no cost’ eCheck payment option,” said Orange County Treasurer Shari Freidenrich. “You will receive same-day credit and an electronic receipt which can be emailed or printed. Online payments must be completed by midnight on April 10th to avoid any penalties, so I encourage those who have yet to submit their second installment to utilize this convenient and cost-free option.” Taxpayers can scan the QR code on their secured property tax bill to be taken to the property tax webpage or go to octreasurer.com/octaxbill. Once on the website, they can view and print property tax bills dating back 14 years, view the prior two years of payment history, and view an online statement of their account. While there is no charge for eCheck, taxpayers who pay with a credit or debit card will be assessed a 2.29 percent service charge. See all payment options at octreasurer.com/octaxbill.

Other payment options include paying by check, cashier’s check or money order using Orange County’s 24/7 depository payment drop box located off Ross Street on the side of the County Administration South building located at 601 N. Ross Street in Santa Ana. Payments can be made in person using any payment method at the County Service Center at the same address Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Payments sent via traditional mail must be postmarked on or before April 10th. We recommend getting the envelope hand-cancelled to avoid any late payment penalties, as local post offices may no longer be postmarking mail.

In addition to the online payment system, the Orange County Treasurer’s Office offers the following online property tax and financial tools:

If you have payment questions, please email ttcinfo@ttc.ocgov.com, or call (714) 834-3411 between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST. If you have questions on ownership, assessed valuations or mailing addresses, please call (714) 834-2727.
