  • I thinks video cameras is a great idea if all police personnel from the Chief, Deputy Chiefs, Commanders, Sergeants and Police Officers will be wearing those video cameras. This way there will be total transparency!

    • It is a side show!

Every video I have seen showing the police misconduct was discredited on the bases that "we do not know what happened before the video was turned on" and allegations of the editing ." [emphases added]

Thanks to the movie industry we know that pictures can be manipulated more than words.

In general people mistrust the videos.

Same as you can see a magician puling the rabbit from his nose you can see anything to fit your political correctness.

I believe that outlawing the political correctness, punishable by mandatory life sentence, would be more prudent than any body camera.

  • I should ad that such camera can be purchased for less than $35 but who ever will be awarded the contract, by the Magnificent Seven, will sell it to the city for $3500 each.
Same like that big screen TV scandal several years ago.

  • Now the community will complain (after asking for it) because of privacy issues, they don't want to be filmed at their homes (where most domestic violence investigations are conducted), their rights etc,,,wait and see......Careful what you wish for,,,

  • May I add that the Santa Ana City Council should also wear video cameras. This should be a component of the Sunshine Ordinance. It would be great to see what goes on (back door deals) behind closed doors. Three Cheers for total transparency!
