The SAPD is refocusing on Community Oriented Policing

Santa Ana Police Department

Advisory: SANTA ANA POLICE DEPARTMENT WEBSEDGE 2017 LEADERSHIP FORWARD FILM PROJECT

FILM RELEASE DATE – OCTOBER 20, 2017

“Our Community – Our Service – Our Legacy”

This short film project will showcase the Santa Ana Police Department on a local, national and international stage with focus on our historical and forecasted future success in Community Oriented Policing.

The Santa Ana Police Department has a rich history of successful and best, nationally recognized policing strategies in serving our community. Dating back to the late 1970’s, the Police Department has been an ardent supporter of facilitating a well-rooted Community Oriented Policing philosophy. Complimenting strategies of traditional policing efforts and generating quality community based relationships have been the dual approach to policing the Santa Ana community.

The Police Department, under its current leadership, has and continues to return to this successful premise of providing for the safety and security of everyone in Santa Ana with dignity and respect. The Department has refocused its attention on service and working diligently to provide for a safe environment to live, learn and do business. Once regarded as a national leader in Community Policing, over the last several months the Department continues to transition back to its once model policing status. Partnerships with community and local, state and federal partners have been revitalized; including with our education industry such as the Santa Ana Unified School District and Santa Ana College.
