The Santa Ana City Council is conducting a Special Closed Session Meeting on Oct. 2 at 2 pm. The meeting agenda only has one item on it – the appointment of a new City Manager.
The current Acting City Manager is Cynthia J. Kurtz. She has over 26 years of local government experience including previously serving as the City Manager for the City of Pasadena for ten years, as well as the Interim City Manager for the City of Covina for six months.
I have no idea who the Santa Ana City Council might be considering to take over as our permanent City Manager. I just hope this time they hire the best person for the job. Last time they hired the awful, overpaid David Cavazos primarily because the City Council wanted to hire a Latino City Manager.
