The OC Lawmen need your help to support Orange County youth

The OC Lawmen are a semi-pro football team from Orange County, made up of members of law enforcement.  Mike Walters, the son of SAPD Police Chief Paul Walters, and a member of the Santa Ana Housing and Redevelopment Commission, sent us a request for help with fundraising, so the OC Lawmen can do more to help the young people of Orange County:

The Orange County Cop Bowl Association is the proud supporter of the youth of Orange County. Our dedicated Law Enforcement and Fire Fighter personnel strive to help the youth of Orange County be successful. The proceeds from all of our functions go to supporting youth charities and activities.

The primary donation made by the Orange County Cop Bowl Association to the youth of Orange County is the presentation of the “Bob Henry” Memorial Scholarships. The “Bob Henry Memorial Scholarship” is a scholarship program sponsored and supported totally by the Orange County Cop Bowl Association. The scholarships are awarded each year to graduating high school student athletes to assist them with the cost of obtaining a higher level education. Each scholarship recipient receives $1,000.00. The Orange County Cop Bowl Association attempts to award as many scholarships as possible each year as funds are available. For further information on the “Bob Henry” Scholarship, please see our scholarship page.

The Orange County Cop Bowl Association also supports several other youth orientated educational and athletic programs. These athletic programs would include but are not limited to high school football, track, soccer, field hockey, cheer, and or other athletic programs as requests are made and funds are available. The educational programs include but are not limited to Police and Fire Fighting explorer programs, band (music), and other programs as requests are submitted and funds are available.

The donations, other than the scholarship awards can vary each year depending on requests for assistance, needs of our schools, and funds available for donation. Over the 28 year history of the Orange County Cop Bowl, through the donations made by our supporters and by our professional Law Enforcement Officers and Fire Fighters, we have been able to assist such programs as Make A Wish, CHOC, Orangewood Children’s Home, and many others. During out 28 year history, the Orange County Cop Bowl had donated approximately one million dollars to various youth related organizations and activities.

The members of the Orange County Cop Bowl Association and the members of the Orange County “LAWMEN” Football Team wish to thank each of our supporters and ask that you continue your support so we can continue to help the kids of Orange County.

For further information, please contact Mike Walters (714)-803-1113.
