Last Saturday, around 1:40 p.m., the Irvine Police Department was notified about a theft in progress at the Marshalls Department Store located at 3781 Alton Parkway. Several witnesses videotaped an organized retail theft by five female individuals, some wearing surgical masks.
The party of five entered the store and began filling large trash bags with boxed underwear and coats valued at more than $1,800.00 worth of merchandise. The group fled the area in a red minivan.
A police officer located the vehicle leaving the area and stopped the van. All five subjects were arrested for various charges ranging from burglary, organized retail theft, conspiracy, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The arrestees are: Kanani Fay Mary Fortson, 21, of Los Angeles; Damya Morton, 20, of Los Angeles; Zanya Monique Seabrooks, 21, of Los Angeles; Erikyah Keora Seabrooks, 20, of Los Angeles, and a juvenile, 17, of Los Angeles.
The Irvine Police Departments thanks all the witnesses that assisted them in breaking up this party of five.
