The Anaheim Police are searching for armed suspects near Angel Stadium

The Anaheim Police Department has reported significant police activity taking place right now at State College Blvd. and Gene Autry Way. That area is just west of the Angel Stadium.

Multiple police officers are on scene looking for armed suspects believed to be in the area. Please avoid the area and report any suspicious activity by calling 9-1-1.

The Brea Police shed light on what is happening in Anaheim in this press release:

Today, July 28, 2023, at approximately 8:45 am, Brea Police Department officers were notified of a possible armed bank robbery in progress at a Wells Fargo Bank branch in the 200- block of South State College Blvd.

Brea officers located the suspects as they were leaving the scene, and the suspects led officers on a pursuit southbound on the 57 Freeway into Anaheim.

The suspects abandoned their car near State College and Gene Autry Way in the City of Anaheim and fled into a nearby buildings. Brea and Anaheim police officers set up a perimeter in the area with the assistance of helicopter crews from the Orange County Sheriff Department and Anaheim Police Department.

The Anaheim Police Department is conducting a search of buildings in the area for the outstanding suspects.

Nobody was injured during the robbery.

This is an ongoing investigation and search. As such, no additional information will be released at this time.
