SAUSD video says pink slips by March 15. When will Santa Ana Teacher/Councilman Tinajero say when city jail pink slips might be sent out?

In previous articles, Shame on Santa Ana Teacher/Councilman Sal Tinajero for allowing worker layoffs and Councilman Tinajero claims he’s in minority, but he could have broken the tie vote, we talk about possible school and city union workers layoffs. Now the SAUSD Supertindent says that in addition to the 287 pink slips to be given out by this coming Wednesday, that many other pink slips will be given to other classified workers. So could the pink slips total be closer to 350 to 500? Scary figures and I feel bad for all the families that will be impacted by this, and we hope the final real layoff numbers are no where near this high.

Another question this week will be if Councilman Tinajero also cares about city worker jobs, and whether he or Councilman Vincent Sarmiento who skipped the last vote, will step up to stop the possible layoffs at the city jail. Big week and hope things get better soon!

Don’t let city workers down Councilman Tinajero, you don’t really want to live up to the name that some people have already created for you, “Pink Slip Sal”.

  • I'm just going out on a limb here I know most of the reasons why teachers are being given pink slips are due to bad judgement from city and board leaders as the same thing happening in the city of Azusa. Now is Santa Ana doing this only to give more fuel to the fire so they can blame the Trump administration? and start crying that the city of santa Ana is being bullied by our current administration, but things wouldn't be so bad if people would just follow THE DAMN RULES maybe we can solve alot of these problems Instead of creating more, people need to stop being so biased and siding with the bad because this is only hurting our kids education and I've said this for years unions are/is what is killing this country but parents if you really care about your kids education you need to be at these meetings and ask why this is happening and push for answers but most parents hardly even care because they are always on Facebook, Snapchat, WhatsApp, etc. ect. I'm Hispanic and I see this every day parents outside on their tablets or phones for hours and the kids are God knows where, no help with the homework or even checking up on it but I do feel sorry for all those teachers being let go because they worked hard to get where they are and to just get all that taken away is a bummer
