The Santa Ana Police Traffic Division is implementing a program to educate the public about the laws governing pedestrian traffic on our roadways. This program has begun with targeted enforcement of traffic laws relating to pedestrians in crosswalks. The program will continue into the coming weeks with increased enforcement of pedestrian traffic violations (i.e. pedestrian signals, jaywalking, etc.)
Today’s program was conducted in the area of Main at 15th and Main at Walnut. The enforcement was conducted between the hours of 8-10 am.

SAPD has killed people this year, several of whom were unarmed. There has been an uptick in violent crimes. How do the geniuses running SAPD respond? By stepping up the jaywalking tickets! Brilliant.
