Santa Ana City Councilwoman Ceci Iglesias is a mom and a former member of the SAUSD School Board. So when she found out our high school grads were not going to be able to walk in formal graduations this year, due to the ongoing Pandemic, she took action.
Iglesias asked her colleagues on the Santa Ana City Council to consider a measure to formally recognize our graduates on the City’s digital boards. The City Council approved this measure!
Iglesias responded to this on her Facebook page:
I am proud to share that all high school graduates in Santa Ana will be honored. Thank you to the city manager and my colleagues on council for supporting me in this effort. All graduates, whether they attend Santa Ana Unified, Garden Grove Unified, Orange unified, Tustin Unified, Public Charter Schools or Private Schools. Congratulations to all the 2020 graduates. May God continue to bless you.
