On Friday, with the assistance of community tips, an IPD officer located a suspect, Salvador Beltran, 34, of Santa Ana, and arrested him.
The officer knew he had the right guy because the New Santa Ana post about the suspect had been texted to him by his friends.
On the morning of November 25, 2022, Beltran is suspected of burglarizing a vehicle in the parking lot of LA Fitness located at 6400 Irvine Blvd.
Beltran smashed the victim’s car window and took a purse. The man pictured used the victim’s credit cards to make fraudulent purchases.
Beltran had warrants for his arrest and was in possession of burglary tools, stolen property, and narcotics.
He was booked into the Orange County Jail on a variety of charges.
