Santa Ana Youth Commissioner Jonathan Espinoza is leading the vote for “Man of the Year”
We started the tradition of asking our readers to vote for the “Santa Ana Man of the Year” last year, when my friend Naui Huitzilopochtli won easily. I believe he now lives in Costa Mesa, so he won’t be repeating – but we do have some great choices in the poll below.

No Dwight Smith? Although I don't live in Santa Ana and wouldn't feel right about voting, I would think he would be on the list. He's a pretty good guy and would probably make a hell of a councilmember (watch those fireworks) if you could get him to run.

I love Max but if I put him on the list it would be awkward as his boss Lou is on the list. Besides, if I know Max he voted for you and Lou!
Knowing Lou, he would celebrate if Max won. He's just that kind of person.
Lou is the best and so is Max. Jonathan has benefited from being mentored by those two. I expect great things from him when he comes back to Santa Ana with his degree from Georgetown!
