More opportunities to help the needy in Orange County, this holiday season

My son Joey spent the day helping to feed the needy at Santa Ana’s Salvation Army, along with many of his friends from Godinez High School.  I am so proud of them!  But when I got a call today from a reader looking for more opportunities to help the needy, I did not know where to send him.  Luckily, State Senator Lou Correa recently published a list of charitable organiztions.  I added to  it.  Here it is – this my friends is what Thanksgiving is really all about:

I just wanted to drop you line or two.
I had often wondered about the programs offered through the Salvation Army.. I wondered why, I was either never approached or why I was never accepted.

I did some research about the services offered

They simply do not apply to " Me "

I do not have a drug or an alcohol problem that can be addressed, not do have, a mental disability that renders me, incompetent..

I simply seek to be in a transitional housing with a latitude of freedom... and constructive range of learning.. with most of your program this is not something that is the NORM.

    Thank yOu
