Santa Ana, CA (March 1, 2022) – The Orange County Probation Department, in accordance
with current public health orders, will resume in-person services at all juvenile facilities,
including Juvenile Hall, the Youth Guidance Center, and the Youth Leadership Academy. This
may be subject to change in compliance with public health orders and guidelines.
The Orange County Probation Department recognizes the importance of in-person contact for
the youth we serve and their families, as well as the importance of visitation as an essential
part of a youth’s rehabilitation. We look forward to resuming in-person services in a manner
that prioritizes the safety of youth, their families, and our staff.
To mitigate COVID-19 risks, anyone entering these facilities must comply with the Center for
Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Guidance for Management of Coronavirus in
Correctional and Detention Facilities. This includes wearing masks, having their temperature
screened, and practicing physical distancing. Additionally, they will be provided with access to
hand sanitizer while at the facility.
