Community Alert: SANTA ANA PUBLIC LIBRARY PRESENTS SURVIVAL! INFORMATION AND RESOURCE WORKSHOP: HUMAN TRAFFICKING / DOMESTIC ABUSE

SANTA ANA, CA (January 2, 2014) – President Barack Obama has proclaimed January as “National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month”. On January 11th, the Santa Ana Public Library will present an information and resource workshop on Human Trafficking and Domestic Abuse.

Almost every country in the world is affected by trafficking, whether as a country of origin, transit or destination for victims. Every year, thousands of men, women and children go missing, or are subject to domestic abuse. Understanding the victims of human trafficking and abuse is important to helping them restore their lives.

The Santa Ana Public Library will present a panel of experts who will discuss the human trafficking and abuse problems in our community, ways to identify victims, and resources available to assist them. It will provide an opportunity to discuss the personal and psychological toll it takes on society and how the public can work with agencies and law enforcement to protect victims, prosecute offenders, and prevent these crimes in Santa Ana.

The workshop is open to the public and will be held at the Santa Ana Public Library, Meeting Room A on Saturday, January 11, 2014 from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. Free parking will be available at Lot P4 on Ross Street.

THE SANTA ANA PUBLIC LIBRARY IS LOCATED AT:
26 CIVIC CENTER PLAZA (corner of Civic Center and Ross)

  • Who was the one who won the "most likely to have a Harem of Sex Slaves in his basement" contest in the AD 69th race last year?

Seriously, this seems like a great place to profile deviants. VICAP should attend.
