Garden Grove sex offender sentenced for grabbing a woman’s buttocks

Jerry Matilde, a 25-year-old registered sex offender from Garden Grove, has been sentenced to six months in jail to violating post-release community supervision for a sexual battery on a woman in Garden Grove, according to the Patch.

Matilde was given credit for 70 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to violating the terms of his release in court on Tuesday.

Matilde touched the buttocks of a woman who was out for a morning walk, on Dec. 28, at about 9:11 a.m. at the 11200 block of Magnolia Street.

Matilde claimed that this incident was an accident but at the time he ran away and the victim pursued him.

During that chase Matilde lost his jacket and the victim then found a piece of paper with Matilde’s name on it, in the jacket.

Matilde was previously convicted of touching a store clerk and women in the parking lot, on the buttocks, on July 27. He was also previously convicted of grabbing a 15-year-old relative and exposing himself to another family member, according to probation officials.

If Matilde continues to grab buttocks while in jail in might not work out well for him.
