SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Santa Ana Summer in the Park series is back! Everyone is invited to grab their lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the season with a variety of outdoor entertainment. All events are free to attend and include exhibitors, kids’ inflatables and activities, with food available for purchase from rotating food trucks and vendors.

Movies in the Park: 

Beginning every Friday from June 7 to July 26, 2024, the City of Santa Ana Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency (PRCSA) will be hosting weekly movie screenings at select park locations. Seven family-friendly movies will be showcased. Pre-movie festivities open at 6 p.m. with the movies beginning after sunset. Complimentary popcorn will be available while supplies last. Headsets will be available for alternate audio in Spanish.

  • June 21: “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem”

  • July 26: “Tarzan” (1999 version)

Concerts in the Park: 

Starting every Thursday from July 18 to Aug. 8, 2024, PRCSA will host free weekly concerts at select park locations. This community event offers four family-friendly live concerts. Festivities are scheduled from 6 to 8:30 p.m. each week.

    • Portola Park: 1700 E. Santa Clara Ave., Santa Ana, CA 92705
  • August 1: Melrose Band
    • Jerome Park: 726 S. Center St., Santa Ana, CA 92704
  • August 8: Savor: Santana Tribute Band
    • Memorial Park: 2012 S. Flower St., Santa Ana, CA 92707

Each concert headliner will begin their sets at 7 p.m. In addition, the Santa Ana Special Events team is excited to offer community bands an opportunity to show off their skills and join the stage. Community bands interested in showcasing a family friendly act on stage from 6 to 6:30 p.m. are encouraged to connect with staff at specialevents@santa-ana.org.

It is recommended that guests arrive early to secure their spots and find parking. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, blankets, and picnics.
