Connect-to-Council to present Candidates Forum for Orange County Supervisor, First District, on January 6, 2014

Santa Ana, CA, – Connect-to-Council, along with promotional support from the Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce, Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce and Westminster Chamber of Commerce, is presenting a Candidates Forum for the voters of Santa Ana, Garden Grove, Fountain Valley and Westminster. This forum will feature candidates that are running for the First District of the Orange County Board of Supervisors. This will be a special election taking place on January 27.

This forum will take place on Tuesday, January 6, 2014, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the Rancho Santiago Community College District Board Room, located at 2323 N Broadway, in Santa Ana.

Connie Hamilton, Chairperson of Connect-to-Council, states, “Although this is a special election that has to stand on its own, the outcome is extremely important to the cities of Santa Ana, Garden Grove, Fountain Valley and Westminster. In the special election for the 1 st District OC Supervisorial position in 2007, the result was determined by only seven votes. This shows that every vote really does count.”

The First District of Orange County includes the Cities of Garden Grove, Santa Ana and Westminster, portions of the City of Fountain Valley and the unincorporated community of Midway City.

Note: the candidates running for the First District include Lou Correa, Chris Phan, Andrew Do, Chuyen Van Nguyen and Lupe Moreno.

About Connect-to-Council: Since its start in 2009, Connect-to-Council has been an all-volunteer organization dedicated to connecting Santa Ana residents with the members of their city council and other government resources and staff to help them resolve concerns in their neighborhood. The Connect-to-Council organization has presented numerous local resource events and candidate debates and forums.
