FAMILY HEALTH CLINIC OPENS NEW OC LOCATION WITH FREE HEALTHCARE FOR CHILDREN AGED 5 AND YOUNGER
The Hurtt Family Health Clinic will hold a Grand Opening event for its new clinic location in Santa Ana, Calif., giving media, donors and providers an opportunity to tour the new facility and witness the impact that this clinic has had on the lives of those in need, on Wednesday, May 1, 2013.
This is the organization’s second location in Orange County, through which it will provide free health services to patients who are five years old and younger, including immunizations. These services are reflective of the Hurtt Family Health Clinic’s core belief that a strong foundation of healthcare from a young age is key to protecting against preventable childhood diseases and health issues. The clinic also provides healthcare services at little or no-cost for families, as well as individuals, of all ages.
The Grand Opening event will feature current patients sharing their stories, speeches from key members of the clinic, and a traditional ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome the new family clinic to the Santa Ana community.
A light appetizer lunch will be served following the ribbon cutting, during an open house portion of the event, where all attendees will be invited to tour the family clinic, and meet the healthcare providers and clinic executives. The Hurtt Mobile Health Clinic will also be onsite and open for tours throughout the event.

WHY:
The Hurtt Family Health Clinic was founded to provide low and no-cost health care services to Orange County families. This new, second location in Santa Ana will allow the organization to broaden its reach in the Orange County community and bring additional health services to local families in need. By providing family healthcare on a regular basis, especially for children, the organization can work to prevent future illness and detect health issues with patients before they progress into life-threatening problems.
The Hurtt Family Health Clinics are partly funded through Children and Family Commission Orange County, and are operated in affiliation with The Orange County Rescue Mission. The organization’s other health clinic is located at The Orange County Rescue Mission’s Village of Hope.
