Familias Corazones Verdes Park & Community Center fundraiser set for today

This is your chance to check out Latino Health Access’ new Familias Corazones Verdes Park & Community Center!  A fundraiser is set for today, Saturday, August 31, 2013 from 3 pm until 8 pm.

Join them for an afternoon of delicious food, great raffle prizes (including tickets to see live theatre at South Coast Repertory) and a fantastic show, featuring students of:

Mission

The mission of Latino Health Access is to assist in improving the quality of life and health of uninsured, under-served people through quality preventive services and educational programs, emphasizing responsibility and full participation in decisions affecting health.

Company Overview

Latino Health Access (LHA) is a non-profit, 501c3 organization established in 1993, created to assist with the multiple health needs of Latinos in Orange County .

LHA programs promote the improvement on quality of life and health for uninsured, and under-served families; this goal is achieved through quality preventive services and educational programs, with emphasis in full participation of individuals in decisions affecting their health.

The success of LHA programs it is based on the implementation of the unique model of Promotores. LHA promotores are community key leaders who have been identified through the involvement and commitment with their community.

Art Pedroza Editor
Our Editor, Art Pedroza, worked at the O.C. Register and the OC Weekly and studied journalism at CSUF and UCI. He has lived in Santa Ana for over 30 years and has served on several city and county commissions. When he is not writing or editing Pedroza specializes in risk control and occupational safety. He also teaches part time at Cerritos College and CSUF. Pedroza has an MBA from Keller University.
