Cal/OSHA is notifying employers in the construction, agriculture, tree-trimming, landscaping, car wash and warehouse industries that targeted inspections are occurring during the heat waves affecting most of the state now through next Wednesday. Employers in these industries are reminded that they are responsible for protecting their workers from all known hazards, including high heat.
Cal/OSHA on Monday, August 29 issued a high heat advisory for employers at outdoor worksites.
Employers who have questions or need assistance with workplace health and safety programs can call Cal/OSHA’s Consultation Services Branch at 800-963-9424 or their local Cal/OSHA Consultation Office or email InfoCons@dir.ca.gov.
