Burglars stole over $130K from a residence in northwest Santa Ana

On 12/22/2023, at approximately 8:45 a.m., a residential burglary occurred at the 4000 block of W. Mary Circle (South of West 17th and West of N. Harbor) in Santa Ana, shortly after the victim left for work, according to the SAPD.

Video surveillance captured a suspicious female knocking at the victim’s front door, while a male suspect forced entry into the residence through a rear restroom window.

The suspects then ransacked the bedrooms and stole approximately $130,000.00 in U.S. currency, jewelry, and a medium-sized safe before driving away in a silver, Kia Sorento SUV (unknown license plate).

A second vehicle, a black Audi with a temporary license plate CG27C82, was seen in the area and may have also been involved.

SAPD detectives also discovered that before entry, the suspects defeated the power supply, deactivated all video surveillance inside the home, and destroyed the devices.

  • Suspect #1: Female, Eastern European or Middle Eastern descent, 20-30 years old, medium build, wearing a white top, black pants, face mask, and red sandals driving a silver, Kia Sorento
  • Suspect #2: Male, unknown race, medium build, white face mask, wearing dark clothing

Anyone with information on the identity or whereabouts of the suspects is asked to contact Detective J. Guidry at (714) 245-8530 or Jguidry@santa-ana.org.
