About that Homeland Security raid in Santa Ana on June 24

On Wednesday, June 24, 2020, the Santa Ana Police Department (SAPD) was notified that members of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) were serving a search warrant in the 1300 Block of S. Center Street in the City of Santa Ana.

SAPD was advised that DHS was conducting an independent investigation for weapons violations. Federal authorities confirmed that DHS’s armored vehicle was in the City to support the execution of the warrant. No Santa Ana Police Department staff or resources were deployed or provided to support the service of this Federal search warrant.

Redada de Seguridad Nacional en Santa Ana en el dia 24 de Junio

El miércoles 24 de junio de 2020, se notificó al Departamento de Policía de Santa Ana que los miembros del Departamento de Seguridad Nacional (DHS, por sus siglas en inglés) estaban cumpliendo una orden de registro en el área de 1300 de la calle S. Center en la ciudad de Santa Ana. Se le informó al Departamento de Policía de Santa Ana que el Departamento de Seguridad Nacional estaba realizando una investigación independiente por violaciones de armas. Las autoridades federales confirmaron que el vehículo blindado del Departamento de Seguridad Nacional estaba en la ciudad para apoyar la ejecución de la orden. No se desplegaron ni proporcionaron personal ni recursos del Departamento de Policía de Santa Ana para apoyar el servicio de esta orden de registro.
