This type of thing is becoming commonplace not just in Orange country but all across this once great state of California. We can only thank the liberals and our wonderful governor NEWSOME for that! Yes , let’s all do our part to help the homeless .
The governor actually does what the voters want and the people voted for furthering resources eradicating the negative impacts homelessness has on the community. So maybe you should speak to your fellow community members regarding your grievances.
What would you rather have done with the human beings currently plagued by mental health disorders, drug addiction and overall poor circumstances they've maybe had very little control over? I think you need to remember poverty isn't just about people not having jobs. There's a lot more to the situation, for example, affordable housing, lack of affordable healthcare or access to affordable mental health/substance abuse services. The rich are being kept rich and the poor are constantly struggling to get themselves out of the poverty hole they're in. This problem is much bigger than people see.
As for the mentioned individual in this article, not all transients are murderers. Just like not all conservatives feel the way you do.
"The governor actually does what the voters want..." I hardly think the voters 'want' the mentally ill running loose in the streets and committing crimes such as this. Ignoring this issue, or claiming such folks have 'rights' to wander the streets only invites more these tragedies. The mentally ill belong in a hospital whether they want to be there or not. This state can spend billions of dollars on any number of things including the train to nowhere. So whats the excuse in not funding facilities to address mental illness?
"The govenor actually does what the voters want" is one of the more ridiculous things I've seen - and this is 2020. Newsome is a joke. I'm a voter and everyone I know wants no masks. No bogus Thanksgiving and Christmas restrictions - We want him to not make it easier on pedophiles. We want him to take care of the state's forrests and not blame global warming on fires- especially those set by arson. Poverty is worse due to shut downs and ridiculous restrictions. Its people like you that are responsible for this shit storm.

No. Liberals have ruined this state
"A transient"? I'm shocked you would publish something so plainly dehumanizing. You actually know zero a out the person in question. It just clarifies that the attempt here is to push an ideology, not clarify or investigate the truth.
I'm here to get my head out of my liberal echo chambers and here's what I find, a conservative echo chamber.
Where is the unbiased reporting??
That was literally what the Orange Police posted. Take it up with them.
As for the dehumanized fellow, he murdered another man. What about that?
Transient is actually a more humanizing, respectful word for 'homeless person.' It's important people know which social strata both the victim and perpetrator belonged to for the community's safety. I only see facts in this article, no opinions, eliminating any sort of "biased" reporting.
The suspect is a charged with murder and one of the comments is concerned with referring to this guy as a "transient". Loser!
Sup ken
Open you doors, give him room. How lucky would you be to have your new found friend taking care of the kids, his new home and let's not forget Fido on date night
I hope you're on meds. If not, get on them fast!
But but... What about the person he murdered? Were they not dehumanized enough for you? Calling the killer a transient is kind compared to what I'd call him. Anyone, in my opinion, who intentionally murders another human being?
I'd call him wicked and evil. As in a wicked and evil lowlife "transient"... Murder, IMO, has nothing to do with political beliefs.
This is so tragic. It is true that the man was homeless. A man died here. It is highly plausible that the man who committed the crime needed mental health assistance, and the man that dies is a victim. Homeless deserve our services including assistance in the form of food, housing, case management, and mental health services to AVOID these situations. Political hatred is not helpful here. Solutions require all sides to come together. In the name of suffering, a man's lost life, and the grief of his family and friends, it would be great to stop criticizing one another and look for solutions together.
