A traffic stop in Tustin led to the seizure of drugs, a gun and almost $100K in cash

Patrol officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation and the driver of the vehicle was on formal probation, according to the Tustin Police Department.

A search of the vehicle revealed small baggies of fentanyl, 1,049 grams of methamphetamine, 623 grams of fentanyl, $5,000 in cash, and numerous items consistently associated with drug sales.

A probation search of the subject’s residence was conducted which revealed an additional 447 grams of fentanyl, evidence of drug trafficking, a revolver, and $91,000 in US currency.

This is yet another example of proactive police work getting guns and drugs off of Tustin city streets. The patrol officers went above and beyond during this investigation that resulted in a major bust.

The Tustin Police Department ended 2023 seizing $1.2 million dollars worth of drugs and they have started 2024 off with yet another big bust.
