A pedestrian was killed after being struck by two vehicles at S. Broadway and W. Borchard Ave.

An unidentified man died on Sunday evening after getting hit by a pickup truck and then run over by a second vehicle, according to the O.C. Register.

The SAPD got a call about a traffic collision on Sunday at about 7:53 p.m. The incident happened at the intersection of South Broadway and West Borchard Ave., according to the SAPD.

The police and OCFA firefighters found a man lying underneath a vehicle, at the scene of the accident. They were able to pull out the man but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was not identified.

Police investigators found that a black pick-up truck that was heading north on Broadway struck the victim and then fled from the scene. Then another vehicle that was also heading north on Broadway struck the pedestrian again and came to a stop on top of him.

The driver of the second vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the SAPD.

The driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities, Sorenson said.

The intersection was still closed as of 10:30 p.m.

Anyone with information of the collision is asked to contact the SAPD at 714-245-8201.
