A man was shot in the head near Fitz Intermediate School today

There was another shooting in Santa Ana today, shortly after 4:30 p.m., and this time I have a feeling that the SAPD will be recording the incident as a male victim was shot in the head, according to SAPD Case Number 16-24749.

The shooting happened at the 800 block of South Toland Street, where an unidentified male victim was shot in the head by an unknown assailant.

The victim was walking when he was struck in the head with a bullet. He was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.

No word yet as to the motive of the shooter. Nor do we have a description of the suspect.

This incident happened near Fitz Intermediate School in Santa Ana’s Ward 6, which is represented by Councilman Sal Tinajero.

  • This entry is so choppy. Good editor is needed. First sentence "there was another" ... What if I was browsing the Internet and found this post ...another what? Don't assume the reader knows what you're talking about it. Good content just choppy makes it difficult to read

    • We left out the word "Shooting" in the first sentence. Since fixed thanks to your edits. Thanks. We often work from notes provided by the SAPD and they tend to be pretty staccato at times. That's how cops tend to communicate - in bullet points.

        • Yes but we rely on info provided by the police. Remember we are a one man operation! Unlike papers like the OC Register. I literally run this blog and several others all by myself. This is my community service...
