A 10-year-old girl in Santa Ana, Allison Ruth Wendel, took her own life and police are trying to find out why, according to CBS News.
Wendel was a fifth grader at Hazard Elementary School, which SAPD police detectives visited on Monday to follow up on reports that the girl was bullied.
Wendel took her own life at home on Sunday, Oct. 13 and her 9-year-old sister was the one who found her, according to officials.
Police detectives plan to interview those who knew the child and they will also be looking at her social media and text messages as they try to figure out why she took her own life.
A rosary was planned at Wendel’s home tonight.
Hazard Elementary School is part of the Garden Grove Unified School District, which had this to say in a statement:
“We are deeply saddened by the tragic passing of one of our students. We have our crisis counselors on site today and throughout the week to ensure students and staff have support during this difficult time. While the Santa Ana Police Department is conducting a thorough investigation, we have no evidence to support this rumor. Hazard Elementary School has a longstanding PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) program and takes a proactive approach to promote a positive school culture.”
A neighbor told CBS that Wendel’s parents kept an eye on her social media accounts.

Can you guys contact me, my nephew goes to the same school and he has been bullied too and my sister
That's awful! I recommend you call the Superintendent's office right away at 714-663-6111.
Call the school, and report it
Then go find the bully and tell them they're a loser for needing to put down others to make themselves feel better.
This is so sad on so many levels.
