2012 Fiestas Patrias Parking, Traffic and Parade Route information

Santa Ana Police Department Citizen Alert: Traffic Advisory Sept 15 and 16 Fiestas Patrias Parade and Festival

The City will be hosting the Fiestas Patrias Downtown Festival and Parade on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 15 and 16th. Please be advised of the following street closures which will substantially impact travel times in the Civic Center and Downtown areas of Santa Ana especially on Sunday, Sept 16.

Notification of Traffic Impacts Associated with the Fiestas Patrias Festival & Parade

Event: Fiestas Patrias Festival 2012

Date/Time: Saturday September 15 1200 to 2400 (midnight) Festival Hours

Sunday September 16 1200 to 2200 Festival Hours

Location: Fourth Street from Sycamore to Minter, Third Street from Sycamore to French, Main St. from Fifth to First, Bush/French/Mortimer from Fifth to Third St.

Primary street closures will be in place from 1900 hrs on Friday, Sept. 14 through 0800 hrs on Monday, Sept 17.

Event: Fiestas Patrias Parade

Date/Time: Sunday September 16, 2012

Streets to be closed:

Sycamore between 17th and 10th, 16th St. between the west side of Bush and Main St., 15th St. between the west side of Bush and the east side of Broadway.

Main between the south side of 17th and the north side of Santa Ana Blvd. and all side streets one block east and west of Main St.

Broadway from the north side of Santa Ana Blvd. to the south side of 10th St. Civic Center Drive from the west side of Bush to Flower. Street closures to include one block north and south of Civic Center Drive between Flower and Bush Streets. Birch from the north side of Civic Center to the south side of 10th. Sycamore from the north side of Santa Ana Blvd. to the south side of 10th. Flower from Civic Center Drive to the north side of Santa Ana Blvd.

Ross from the north side of Santa Ana Blvd to the south side of Civic Center Drive.

Sixth Street from Flower to Boyd

Primary street closures will be in place from 1300 to 2000 hrs, Parade times: 1600 to 1800

  • I just love this parade and El Grito! Makes me feel so proud to be from Jalisco! (Which is the BEST State in Mexico by way:) Why not ask readers which State they think is best and why? Hope to see all of you New Santa Ana readers this weekend! I like 4th of July but Fiestas Patrias is more of a family event and the parade is first class!
