The Irvine Police Department’s Directed Enforcement Team (DET) recently stopped a U-Haul truck for traffic violations.
While talking to the three occupants, officers heard noises in the cargo box area. Concerned that they could have a real “Jack in the Box“, they began investigating.
When officers opened the cargo door, they found a 53-year-old parolee from Santa Ana with a warrant for assault, but his name was not “Jack.”
They arrested the parolee and provided white glove delivery service to Orange County Jail.
Officers packaged up a citation for one of the other passengers who had methamphetamine.
U-Haul Trucks are for moving furniture, not hauling friends with narcotics, and no bail warrants.

This is one of the dumbest "news" articles I've ever read.
We liked that it ended in an arrest.
