We are seeking volunteers of all ages to be part of our Census outreach video. The purpose of this video is to inform the local community on the upcoming Census and the importance of counting everyone. The once-a-decade population count determines how much funding our community receives, and provides data to help us plan for the future.
Census data is used to distribute more than $675 billion in federal funds annually to states, counties, and communities to support a variety of programs, including schools and housing. It is crucial we have an accurate count.
We will be filming a brief video on Saturday, August 24th and are looking for English and/or Spanish-speaking volunteers to star in the video! Stop by the Santa Ana Council Chambers anytime between 8am to 4pm to participate. The process should take no more than 15 minutes per person. All volunteers will be assigned one phrase or sentence to speak on camera. This video will be shared and promoted throughout the city, including social media campaigns.
We need your help to ensure everyone in Santa Ana is counted. For more information, please contact Daisy Perez at 714-586-6321 or dperez@santa-ana.org.
