CommunityAlert: VETERANS RESOURCE CENTER GRAND OPENING AT THE SANTA ANA PUBLIC LIBRARY

SANTA ANA, CA – Recognizing the need to reach and serve the needs of our veterans and their families, the Santa Ana Public Library, with the support of the State Library and in coordination with CalVet, will be opening a Veterans Resource Center on June 20th. The Center’s mission is to respond to our veteran community’s informational, educational, and personal needs by connecting them with the services and resources available for their use.

The Center provides veterans an area to engage in researching benefits, completing applications, and, on occasion, meeting with veteran service organization representatives. The Veterans Resource Center is made possible in collaboration with Veterans Upward Bound at Santa Ana College.

We invite all veterans, their families, veteran support organizations, and the community to attend the grand opening of this valuable resource center in the City of Santa Ana on Friday, June 20th, at 3 pm and show our support and gratitude to all veterans.

The opening reception will take place at the Santa Ana Public Library’s Meeting Room A on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. followed by the ribbon cutting ceremony. Light refreshments will be served.

Please RSVP to Milly Lugo-Rios at 714.647.5271 or by email at mlugo@santa-ana.org by Friday, June 13, 2014, as space is limited.

For more information on current resources for veterans, please visit the Santa Ana Public Library Veterans Resource website at www.santa-ana.org/library/veterans.

THE SANTA ANA PUBLIC LIBRARY IS LOCATED AT: 26 CIVIC CENTER PLAZA (corner of Civic Center and Ross)
