Advisory: Two men arrested for felony possession of approximately 4,000 Xanax pills

COSTA MESA, Calif. – The Costa Mesa Police Department (CMPD) this morning arrested Gary Marianetti, 24, Huntington Beach, and Eric Ramirez, 20, Costa Mesa, for felony possession of about 4,000 Xanax pills.
At approximately 1:05 a.m., on Sept. 28, 2017, CMPD officers responded to the 1200 block of West Baker Street regarding a suspicious abandoned vehicle.
Upon arrival, they contacted Marianetti and Ramirez, who were sitting in a nearby associated vehicle. Officers searched both suspects and their two respective vehicles and found approximately 4,000 Xanax pills and over $500 in their possession.
Marianetti and Ramirez were arrested and booked for possession of a controlled substance for sale and Marianetti was booked for additional charges of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and three warrants.
