Two Euro suspects were arrested after stealing items from a Tustin store and someone’s iPhone

Police Officers responded to the Tustin Marketplace on Thursday after two subjects physically fought the loss prevention agents of a business while fleeing with merchandise, according to the Tustin Police Department.

The suspects fled into the parking lot and a vehicle description was provided.

A Patrol Sergeant with a keen eye for fleeing criminals spotted the vehicle as it attempted to access Jamboree Road and leave the city.

A high-risk traffic stop was conducted and two suspects were detained. The investigation revealed both suspects were foreign nationals from Eastern Europe and were in possession of stolen property from the business.

Officers also found an iPhone which was later determined to have been stolen from a customer inside the business.

Thanks to the fasting acting patrol officers and supervisors, both suspects were arrested and the stolen property was returned to both victims.

The suspects were booked at Orange County Jail on a $1 million bail.

While shopping, be mindful of your property and surroundings to avoid being a victim of distraction related thefts.
